Sites
For administrators.
Sites are your drop-off locations. To add or remove a site, contact support: sites are part of your subscription (see Subscription).
Open a site to change:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name and address | Shown to customers, and on printed sheets. |
| Contact email and phone | The site's own contact details, used instead of the business's for its orders. |
| Time zone | The site's local time: today's date for new orders and labels, and the times shown on its orders. |
| Tax rate (%) | Off unless you set it. Meat isn't taxed in Texas, so leave this off unless your state taxes orders or processing. Staff can still turn tax off for one order. |
| Credit card fee (%) | Off until you turn it on. Added to card payments on top of the amount; staff can waive it on a payment (see Payments). |
| Suggested deposit per animal ($) | New orders at this site suggest this amount per animal as the drop-off deposit. Blank for no suggestion. |
| Package label size and Box label size | The labels in this site's label printer (see Package and box labels). |
Select Save site to keep your changes.
About card fees, Gambrel Book's guidance on the page is: card networks cap surcharges at 3% and don't allow them on debit cards, and some states limit or ban them. You are responsible for following the rules where you operate.
The working site
At a business with several sites, each person works at one site at a time, chosen with Switch site (see Signing in). Home and Orders show that site, and new orders start there.
